It’s a new year and we are continuing our time-honored tradition of making zero resolutions except to READ MORE! There are so many amazing books coming out in 2017, we couldn’t fit them into one post. So here’s our first set of picks for the stories you’ll need to be checking out this year, check back tomorrow for the rest!
Devil in Spring by Lisa Kleypas (February 21, 2017) Helen and Rhys stole our hearts in Marrying Winterborne and we have been impatiently awaiting the third book in the Ravenels series ever since!
The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas (February 28, 2017) RT’s reviewer gave this debut a Top Pick!, calling it captivating and honest, authentic and powerful. Which means you know where we’ll be February 28.
Relationship Status by K.A. Mitchell (March 1, 2017) Details are scant about this upcoming title from fan-favorite Mitchell, but we will read it no matter the particulars.
A Closed and Common Orbit by Becky Chambers (March 17, 2017) Our resident Sci-Fi expert Emily loved The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet and she has a serious case of grabby-hands for the second book in the series!
Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor (March 28, 2017) Taylor fans (like us) have been waiting (and waiting) for this new series from Taylor, whose Daughter of Smoke Bone trilogy is nothing short of breaktaking. We can’t wait to check out Taylor’s lyrical new effort.
An Extraordinary Union by Alyssa Cole (March 28, 2017) A friend from Kensington slipped us a single copy of this book at the RT holiday party and our editors have been fighting over it ever since. We love each other, sure, but we might love this Civil War-set spy romance more.
The Night Mark by Tiffany Reisz (March 28, 2017) We’ve expressed our love for Reisz’s The Bourbon Thief (along with basically everything else she’s written) so of course we want this book. ASAP.
At Attention by Annabeth Albert (April 1, 2017) We love Albert’s prose, and we also, let’s be honest, will read any series called “Out of Uniform.” So it makes sense that our calendar is marked for this release, starring Lieutenant Apollo Flores.
The Chosen by JR Ward (April 4, 2017) Our Convention Coordinator Tere has informed us that she will be out of office on the day The Chosen is released. Is it any surprise? Fans have been waiting for Xcor and Layla’s story for quite some time!
The Thing About Love by Julie James (April 18, 2017) Undercover agents forced to pose as lovers? Yes please! In James’s capable hands, this great trope is sure to shine. Can’t wait!
Here are half of the books we can’t wait for in 2017! Check back tomorrow for more book goodness!
