2017 Book Hankerings: Part Two

Yesterday we shared with you some books we’re longin’ for in 2017, here is the other half of the list — which was always going to be too long for one blog post. Always. We hope you enjoy our selections and find some awesome reads for this new year ahead. Happy reading!

Into the Water by Paula HawkinsInto the Water by Paula Hawkins (May 2, 2017) Like everyone else, we loved Hawkins’s The Girl on the Train, so we are pumped to check out the author’s sophomore effort, surrounding the drownings of two women — a teen, and then later, a single mother — and the ripple effects the crimes cause in the small town.Ramona Blue by Julie Murphy

Ramona Blue by Julie Murphy (May 9, 2017) It’s no secret that we were obsessed with Dumplin’, so to say we are excited about the release of Murphy’s Ramona Blue is an understatement! May can’t come fast enough!

The Girl Who Knew Too Much by Amanda Quick (May 9, 2017) A Hollywood murder mystery by one of our favorites, Amanda Quick, whose books we love no matter the genre or pen name? Yes please!

White Hot by Ilona Andrews

Rich People Problems by Kevin Kwan (May 23, 2017) Kwan’s addictive prose, soap-operatic antics and characters we’ve grown to love over his past two books, Crazy Rich Asians and China Rich Girlfriend, mean we are mega pumped for this new title, where matriarch Su Yi falls ill and all the relatives come out of the woodwork for their payday.

White Hot by Ilona Andrews (May 30, 2017) Ilona Andrews fans have been waiting two and a half years for the next installment in the Hidden Legacy series. We’d say the book’s release deserves a big party, but we are pretty sure you’d all prefer some quiet reading time …Dating You Hating You Christina Lauren

Dating You/Hating You by Christina Lauren (June 6, 2017) We are certified Christina Lauren superfans, so we are pumped to read the pair’s first standalone. Seriously. Just hand it over. Thanks.

Silver Silence by Nalini Singh (June 13, 2017) Judging by the GIFs people are using to described their excitement for Silver and Valentin’s story, there’s going to be a lot of squeeing when this book drops. We’ll be sure to order earplugs with our copy.

Day of the Duchess by Sarah MacLeanThe Day of the Duchess by Sarah MacLean (June 27, 2017) Malcolm and Sera have intrigued us, what with his philandering and all — and we’re intrigued to see how Sarah redeems this cheating rake. We also love, love, love the already married trope, so this book is basically catnip to us.

The Lying Game by Ruth Ware (July 25, 2017) In a Dark, Dark Wood and The Woman in Cabin 10 were hot topics of conversation in the RT office. We can’t wait to see what Ware’s next book has in store!Hate to Want You Alisha Rai

Hate to Want You by Alisha Rai (July 25, 2017) All you have to say is “Alisha Rai” and we are instantly interested. Described by the author as a sort of Romeo and Juliet, forbidden romance story — except no one dies, we can’t wait to one-click away!

The Forbidden by Jodi Ellen Malpas (August 8, 2017) No one writes a steamy sex scene quite like Jodi Ellen Malpas! The Protector got us all hot and bothered earlier this year and we cannot wait to see what deliciousness awaits in The Forbidden.

There you have it! All the books (for now) that we’re salivatin’ for in 2017. We’re sure the list will grow — and we can’t wait! If we missed a book you’re hankerin’ for, let us know!
