Kids Home for the Summer? A Reading Guide

It’s summer, your kids are home! Yay! Yay? How will you make time to read with those charges of yours requiring care, feeding, entertainment — you know, parenting? We at RT are here for you with some suggestions to help you out, so you don’t miss on any of those summertime book blockbusters.

You can always hide away to read — but they seem to find you, don’t they?

Sleepovers are always a good idea — until it’s your turn to host. Things start out like this …

… and end up like this:

… no time for reading.

You can send them to camp, but it might not work out, especially if they’re not outdoorsy. (Maybe like one of their parents!)

… and then off you go, back in the car, to pick them up! And we all know, no matter how good a driver you are, reading and driving don’t mix.

Of course, there are audiobooks to entertain you as you shuttle your charges all over town. Though that certainly limits your TBR pile.

No erotica, no super sexy romance … no fun.

Of course, you can always introduce them to your very good friend — the librarian.

We believe it’s best to start them young!

Because is there anything sweeter than seeing your kids read alongside you? No there is not.

Are your kids tagging along with you to the library this summer? We hope so! You can check out some books to add to your summer’s TBR pile on our Everything Romance page.
