You guys. Ilona Andrews’s New York Times bestselling Urban Fantasy series featuring P.I. Kate Daniels has been optioned to Voodoo Television by producer Jerry Daigle (Odd Thomas)! We can’t wait to see Kate’s magic-filled Atlanta — we’re certain it will make for some awesome onscreen entertainment. We can’t wait!
Meet Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children

Princess Mia is Back!
Very exciting news from the Genovian Government, there will be a Princess Diaries 3! In an interview with People magazine, director Garry Marshall assured us that after Anne Hathaway has her baby, a new Princess Diaries project will begin. We have so many questions for Princess Mia, and we’re happy to know she will be back soon!
A Brand New Nancy Drew
CBS has found its Nancy Drew! Vulture reports that Persian actress Sarah Shahi will be the first person of color to portray the famous detective on screen. The show will use the book series as inspiration, but will depict Nancy as an adult. We are beyond excited for this!
We’re Going Into the Grey
We are big fans of Kat Richardson‘s Greywalker series, so we are pretty pumped by the news that Back Alley Films and Muse Entertainment Enterprises plan to bring it the the big screen! We can’t wait to see how they depict left-for-dead-but-not-quite PI Harper Blaine — and the Grey!
Ready to Visit Prydain?
Disney has acquired movie rights to Lloyd Alexander’s Chronicles of Prydain series! Disney executive Sam Dickerman currently oversees the project, which does not yet have a writer, director or producers. Stand by for more information on this project, and in the meantime, you can read more here.
Better Get Your Eyes Checked!
Funny men Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg want to make your head spin. They’re in talks to produce a movie adaptation of the children’s book series, Where’s Waldo? for MGM. We’re not sure how this dizzying game of hide and seek will translate to the big screen, but we are certainly ready to find out! Rumor has it that The Night Before‘s Kyle Hunter and Ariel Shaffir will write the script. Read more here.

When a celebrity starts a rumor about himself, it has to be true … right? Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul has been having a bit of fun at our expense, hinting that maybe, just maybe, he will join the cast of Stephen King’s upcoming film Dark Tower.
Stone Village Productions Will Take Us Behind Closed Doors
Scott Steindorff and Dylan Russell at Stone Village Productions have acquired the film and television rights for B.A. Paris’s Behind Closed Doors. The story is full of intrigue and suspense, following a couple whose seemingly perfect marriage is actually built upon a terrible secret. We are already dreamcasting this one!
More Fantasy Coming to Freeform
We love fairy tales, so when Rhiannon Thomas reimagined Sleepy Beauty’s story in her debut A Wicked Thing, we were totally on board! With the help of producers Tom Lynch Company and developer Brillstein Entertainment Partners, the fairy tale kingdom on the verge of revolution will find a home on Freeform. Adam Lush and Cori Uchida (Heroes Reborn Helix) will write the series.
Mark Your Calendar, Girl
Gossip Girl producers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage are back at it again! Deadline reports that the duo’s company Fake Empire is working with ABC Signature to option the book series Calendar Girl for television. Heralded as the next Fifty Shades, Audrey Carlan’s 12-book series tells the story of Mia Saunders, who becomes a high-priced escort in order to pay her father’s gambling debts.
