RT’s Casting Couch: Leigh Bardugo’s Six of Crows
Book ReviewDear readers, Leigh Bardugo‘s new YA fantasy, Six of Crows, is amazing. It’s an exciting heist novel, set in Bardugo’s imaginative Grisha world. It was one of those books we could just see while reading. So of course, we wanted to cast the novel! Here are our picks …
Kaz — The wily leader of the crew, Kaz is never without layer upon layer of secrets. A sneaky fellow prone to performance, it’s hard to know the real boy beneath. Our pick for Kaz is Liam Aiken:
Inej — The wraith can climb impossible heights without you ever knowing she was beside you. Capable of dangerous acts, thanks to the life that’s been thrust upon her, we see Inej as strong and steely. We think Bollywood actress Aditi Rao Hydari fits the bill, no?
Nina — The Grisha is a beguiling, talented survivor. She’s magical and brave. To us, Alexandra Daddario fits the bill perfectly.
Matthias — He’s big, he’s broad, he’s full of principles. Assuming Liam Hemsworth would be okay with dying his hair blonde, he’d be our pick for the stalwart warrior.
For you, I’d dye my hair.

Jesper — Always on the move, happy to be playing cards or throwing down in a fight, to us, Jesper looks like Noah Gray-Cadey. He’s back on Heroes: Reborn right now, but we’re sure he’d make time in his schedule for Six of Crows.
Wylan — The undervalued member of the crew, he’s not without his skills. Wylan completely reminds us of Piggy in The Lord of the Flies. Sorry, Wylan! The Maze Runner‘s Blake Cooper would do well in this role:
