Self-Published Bestsellers: February 2015

So many self-published titles are released each and every day, it’s hard to know which ones are worth your time — and your cash. As always, your RT Web Team is here for you, to help make sense of it all. We’ve scoured the bestseller lists to put together some of the top-selling romance titles (including YA NA) last month that caught our eye. Get your TBR list ready!

Prick by Sabrina Paige
New Adult
Published: February 2015
The Story: Stepbrothers again? Stepbrothers again, friends. Fans cannot get enough of these taboo romances. These stories often just skirt an extreme taboo, and Prick (yes, it’s really called Prick) does just that. Goody two shoes Katherine punches her V-card with hot campus bad boy Caulter. But then it turns out that Katherine’s senator dad and Caulter’s famous actress mother are getting married, and the two kiddos will be hitting the campaign trail together this summer. … Are you still here? Did you leave to one-click Prick? (I will never stop.) Reviews say this is a well-written guilty pleasure and that it’s the parents who really round out the tale. Okay, now you can go click buy.

“Fireworks: Riley” by Liliana Hart
Romantic Suspense (Novella)
Published: February 2015
The Story: We recently had the opportunity to hear Hart speak and she’s so savvy and poised that we were excited to see her on the lists this month so we could tell you that we like her a lot. But as self-publishing fans, you already knew that, because Hart and her many (many) books are huge! “Fireworks” is number 3.5 in Hart’s Mackenize Family series, and in it we get a peek at what Riley and Maggie are up to — mainly, trying to get pregnant and failing. Maggie surprises Riley on his Eygptian treasure hunt (as one does) and things get steamy fast … Do remember that this is a novella, so don’t be surprised by it’s short length, okay?

Fuse by Deborah Bladon
Published: February 2015
The Story: It’s time for Beck’s story! If you haven’t been a fan of the bad boy artist from Bladon’s other books, then prepare to be swayed, along with law student Zoe, in this friends-to-lovers tale. They both have mega angst in their pasts, and there are sexytimes galore. Interestingly, reviews are most split on the hotness of the cover model. We vote yes.

Forbidden Nights by Lauren Blakely
Published: February 2015
The Story: It’s another friends-to-lovers story in another loosely connected series, only this time it’s hotel CEO and playboy (imagine that LinkedIn profile!) Nate who’s showing his buddy Casey how to submit in the bedroom. Makes sense. The scenes are smoking, the reviews exclamation point filled. Get it.
