Self-Published Bestsellers: July 2015

So many self-published titles are released each and every day, it’s hard to know which ones are worth your time — and your cash. As always, I’m here for you, to help make sense of it all. I’ve scoured the bestseller lists to put together some of the top-selling romance titles that caught my eye this month. Get your TBR list ready!

Sinfully Mine by Kendall Ryan
Erotic Romance
Published: July 2015
The Story: I am a sucker for a best friend’s little sister romance, and I am clearly not alone, as Ryan’s latest in her Lessons with the Dom series hit the NYT, Amazon and USA Today lists. In particular, hero Reece is earning rave reviews as the bad boy who vows to keep his hands and his heart away from Macey, now that she’s back in his life. You can imagine how well that goes.

Protecting Jessyka by Susan Stoker
Contemporary Romance
Published: July 2015
The Story: As an editor, it’s hard for me to discuss a title with such suspect spelling. But what can you do? Protecting Jessyka hit The New York Times list! We must accept how things are. So! In Stoker’s sixth SEAL of Protection title, last man standing Kason “Benny” (I know, but she’s Jessyka, so doesn’t it make a crazy kind of sense?) meets his match. Stoker’s heroines stand up to their men — and Jessyka is no exception. I don’t want to get all spoiler-y on you as there’s a twist, so I’ll just quote another reviewer who said, “Oh Susan, you little minx!”

Easy Charm by Kristen Proby
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Published: July 2015
The Story: Proby’s second title in the Boudreaux series features one of my favorite romance heroine occupations: bed and breakfast proprietor! For one, I love muffins. And two, it’s such a charming profession! Perfect. Single mom Gabby loves her job (who wouldn’t), her family and New Orleans (us too!). Sure, she’s a little lonely, but that’s where hot, injured baseball player Rhys comes in. But what’s going to happen when Rhys is healed and he has to return to Chicago? Luckily, this is a full-length romance, so don’t have to wait to find out!
