What was the first book you read that meant something to you?
I think I was born with my nose in a book. There are so many stories I’ve loved along the way that it’s tough to narrow it down to one book. But I do remember the first romances that really hit me hard, grabbed at my emotions and didn’t let go: Remembrance by Jude Deveraux and The Time is Short by Nerina Hillard.
What book do you wish you could live in?
Not a book but a series world: Anne McCaffrey’s Pern. Yes, I know there’s deadly thread falling from the skies that could kill me, but … dragons! I’d love to soar over Pern on a dragon, meeting beloved characters along the way.

What trope most mirrors your life?
Ordinary heroine who unbeknownst to her, has secret badass powers … Okay, maybe not. But wouldn’t that be awesome?!
What book has been in your TBR pile the longest?
I plead the Fifth on this. I actually don’t know!
If we pulled up next to you at a stoplight, what song would you be shamelessly singing?
I’m going to be honest and just admit it — right now, it’s “Sorry” by Justin Bieber. Previously, it could’ve been “Maria” by Blondie, or my Bollywood song crush of the moment.
If your ghost haunted a place, where would it would?
My laptop, since, according to everyone who knows me, I’m attached to it by an invisible umbilical cord! It’d turn on in the midnight hours as a night owl ghost tried to figure out a scene …
Who do you want to hug right now?
Everyone. I’m a big hugger. BE WARNED!
What do you do when you’re feeling discouraged?
Think of all the good, wonderful people and things in my life, and read. Reading has always been a way to get my head on straight and it still works.
If you could only vacation at one place for the rest of your life, where would it be?
Fiji. It’s where I was born and the palm trees, beaches and people still tug at my soul.
What’s your favorite thing to do with your spare time?
Read, write, see friends, binge watch television shows.

Riley. I really liked him before it all went wrong.
